Poverty Alleviation and Inclusive Development Across Rural Sindh (PAIDAR)

Poverty alleviation and inclusive development across rural Sindh (PAIDAR) is a five-year programme funded by the EU to support the Government of Sindh (GoS) in implementation of its Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS) across 5 target districts of Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Tharparkar and Larkana.

PAIDAR will at the end of the Programme:

Provide EUR 20 million of co-financing grants and technical assistance to 1,600 MSMEs and cooperatives.
Contribute technically and financially (EUR 2 million) to building and upgrading public infrastructure for improvement in basic service delivery in 5 Rural Growth Centres
(secondary towns).
EUR 8 million investments to directly establish climate resilient community infrastructure and to create access to social services in more than 170 villages within 15 km radius of Rural Growth Centres.
Assist the GoS to strengthen internal coordination and monitoring, and to optimize provincial public resources allocation towards meeting PRS objectives.

PAIDAR will support the Government of Sindh (GoS) in the implementation of its Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS).

The long-term objective of PAIDAR is to contribute to sustainable poverty reduction and the improvement of livelihoods of disadvantaged women, men and young people across Sindh province.
