Thematic Areas

Programme Thematic Areas

The programme works around the following thematic areas:

Clean Energy

Integrating climate-friendly solutions into target communities, such as renewable energy technologies like solar power, non-fired bricks, and clean energy stoves. These initiatives help reduce environmental impact, lower energy costs, and provide sustainable energy alternatives that improve household living conditions and contribute to environmental resilience.

Fisheries

Promoting sustainable fisheries by improving fishing practices, enhancing fish processing capabilities, and supporting value-added fishery products, thereby increasing income and job opportunities for communities in coastal and inland areas.

Handicrafts

Preserving Sindh’s rich cultural heritage through support for local artisans. This includes training in modernizing traditional crafts, improving marketing skills, and expanding market access to ensure the sustainability and growth of the handicraft sector.

Food Value-Added Products

Supporting the development of value-added food products, including rice and husk-based goods, and innovative products derived from tomatoes, dairy etc. These initiatives aim to enhance local food processing and provide income-generating opportunities for rural producers.

Basic Services

Expanding access to essential services such as healthcare, education, clean water, and sanitation. These services directly improve the livelihoods of poor communities, reducing expenses and addressing inequalities caused by the lack of basic amenities.
